Project: Replace all pipes at water storage tank. ( Inlet/outlet pipes , Drain pipes and valves, Overflow pipes, level sensing pipes and valves, Main line valves, Main line pipe reposition. Start date: AUG. 19th switch to left bay only. Aug 28th work starts on right bay to drill holes in tank, and install new stainless steel pipes and new valves, sanitize tank.  Sept. 3 make the change over to the right bay and start work on the left bay on 9/5. Tank will be outfitted with new stainless steel pipes the following week. Concrete work for the new valve control building to start at the end of September. Electrical, heat, and lighting to be installed 2nd week of October.

 

Phase II is complete and we would like to thank all for enduring the outage as we made the change over to the new rehabilitated tank bay on the left side. when the project is done the water storage tank will be good for another 50 or more years. We are rebuilding the SGFD future.
